Found while out caching with [Monki] first picking up some waypoint clues for the Big Kids Challenge, met up with Bob and Jill (onelastlook) nearby and we decided to team up to do the series.

This one was a tricky find we all looked where it was found, but it was [Monki] who eventually found.

Out caching with [Monki] and Bob and Jill (onelastlook) we found a telephone number at the way point but not sure if we got it right.

Gave us the co-ords for a tree, but could not find.

We looked over the listing for clues, we gave up and continued onto the next... found it where it says in the listing.

Nice hide, and a great end to the series, the FTF just the cherry on the top of the Christmas tree.

Having the company of Bob n' Jill was great and it was great to get to know you both a bit better.

Unfortunately this is where we parted company as I wanted to find Orched View as it was a DNF I had tried back in 2007 but it was a bit flooded.

Many thanks to the coast to coasters for placing the series, I hope it gets many visits.

Been meaning to revisit this one since 2007, when over doing the Big Kid's series I had to come back.

GZ looked different, perhaps I was at the wrong point completely last time, my cachers sense and caching equipment has been upgraded since.

Plus I was with [Monki] who has done this before, he was keeping quiet so not to spoil the hunt... but no need for a PAF if i got stuck.

No need for a clue, found with ease.

Number 300 logged finds, nice location enjoyed the walk to the cache, it's surprising to know that it used to be a train track, it's in some way satisfying to see nature taking back its hold.

I was caching with [Monki] so it was easy if I needed a PAF.

Day out in the park

Had a lovely day out with Vicky today, Liz was otherwise engaged in some retail therapy and craft related malarkey the initial plan was to go swimming but after the couple of days drama with my two teeth being extracted, I thought we would go to the park.

(I didn't blog about my extraction but suffice to say, I had tooth ache > dentist > extraction.)

We had a leisurely morning with watching cartoons, the new Ben 10 followed by star wars clone wars, SW in CGI works well, and I may eventually get Vicky to watch the films soon. Once SW:CW had finished we set off.

I thought it may be a bit of a long walk for a little one given that it's about a mile up a big hill so I had a back up of Play Area @ Kinstanding Circle, not needed as she was happy to carry on even when she saw the hill, we had her scooter with us, but that seamed to be just for me to carry.

Once at the park, we went straight to the play area.

Not sure how long she spent in there but she was having mad fun, Eventually we went to kick the ball about in the woods, (also she wanted a comfort spot, great things trees)

This photo was taken just as she was getting fed up with me taking pictures so she walked off.

Time for a ice lolly, I felt incredible that it was Mid February and it was warm enough to sit down without a coat and have an Ribena push up ice lolly thingy.

After that we went for a walk up to Longmoor pool to see the ducks, this is where the scooter comes into play.
Funny thing that she kept doing was kept stopping and sitting down on her scooter, a quick ride up to the Pool where the presence of birds was certainly abundant.
Another trip back to the play area, where she left my sight for a bit longer than I liked, walked about the area twice staring to get worried, then spotted her standing by the swings looking a little sad... soon cheered up when I found her and she had a play on the swings, It can't go any faster Vicky, it's just a swing.

Time to walk back home, well time for me to walk back home with Vicky on my shoulders, apparently hurt legs hurt, my back certainly started hurting later on.

Quick find helped by the day glo container, small crack at the top of the container so log is very wet, still managed to sign and put back in place.

Trying to get over to search for a cache but a Jack Russell was having a chat with our 3 year old, just friendly but she didn't like it.

Found ground zero a bit exposed but thats ok, just need to keep eyes pealed for dog walkers, found without much fuss, well not much fuss for me but those with shorter legs was having difficulty negotiating the heather.

16:38

Crikey... got to ground zero and started looking, Vicky getting a bit annoyed with caching as it has mostly been micro's with only one small box to have a look in for swag.

I checked the hint and we all proceeded to check, Vicky got a stick and started poking trees with it, the tree with the cache must have been invisible to start called over Liz and Vicky and we started to look, I spotted the cache and put it back and made sure Vicky was watching when I retrieved it the second time, you beauty.

This cache had come at the perfect time, once signed and put back I could see the excitement in my daughters eyes, she was ready to hunt for the next one.

How to... Start / Stop twitter updating your Facebook status

Actually two how to guides.

You need
1) A facebook account
2) A twitter account

Firstly How do you get twitter to update your facebook profile?

Install the twitter facebook application

Give it required information to link it with your twitter account.
When set up it will show your tweets and the twitering from who you may be following.

Above this box it should have a " Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status " balloon when clicking this will let twitter update your facebook profile.
I doesn't work the other way round, so updating your facebook status does not invoke a tweet.

-------------

Secondly How to stop a tweet updating your facebook profile

Go to the twitter facebook application and wave over settings, the one next to your name.

Choose twitter settings and pop up box with options, select the " Additional Permissions " tab from this box and deselect " Update my status without notifying me. " select OK to confirm.

Tweets will no longer update your facebook.

It should be noted that tweets starting with a reply to somebody eg. @MFtaz should not update your facebook profile, and doesn't usually come up in your followers twitter. having @MFtaz later on in the tweet will update the status.

Just for clarity I have nothing to do with twitter or the twitter application, just that I spent some time working this out so thought I would share.
